We're Shaking Things Up This Summer ☀️
A reminder that it's okay to respond to your changing needs
Like you, we’re fans of doing things differently, especially when the “way it’s always been done” doesn’t serve us anymore. In that light, we’re making a change to our summer programming.
Instead of our the weekly news roundup, we’re slowing things down and showing up differently.
Next week, we’ll kick off an 8-week series loosely centered on the theme of “women’s invisible labor.”
Each week, Faith or Becky will share a short personal story or an interview, which we’ll share across our platforms (here, on the podcast, and on YouTube).
These won’t be fancy think pieces or highly edited episodes. They’ll be in-the-moment glimpses into what we’re chewing on. Perfectionism be damned!
Why the change?
Summer comes with different demands. We both have kids at home, beautiful weather pulling us outside, and a deep need to refill our own damn cups. We’re honoring that by choosing ease, rest, and joy.
This series is what feels energizing and sustainable, so this is what we’re doing. For now.
We’re kicking things off next week with a conversation between us about how we’ve been feeling lately, and why this shift feels necessary.
Then the following week, Becky will be joined by
to talk about burnout and women’s labor.[Spoiler alert: Even more changes are on the way. By fall, Faith and I will be sharing other shifts we’re planning for the newsletter and podcast.]
Thanks for being here and evolving with us. And if you’ve been awaiting your permission slip to make a change to honor your changing needs, consider this it!
Yours in solidarity,
Becky and Faith
