Becky Mollenkamp: Hello everyone. I have very big news about 2025 that I’m so excited to share. That’s why Faith Clark is here—because Faith is joining me next year in a partnership with Feminist Founders! I’m thrilled about this partnership. It’s huge to bring Faith on, to have her additional perspective, and honestly, I just love working with her. It’s going to be amazing. I wanted to tell you about that and some other changes coming for next year.
Faith and I will both talk about the upcoming changes, but before we dive in, we’ll do something more in-depth at the start of the year to introduce Faith properly. For now, Faith, can you give a high-level overview of who you are and why you wanted to join Feminist Founders?
Faith Clarke: The first thing people should know about me is that I have no idea what "high-level" or "brief" mean. I’m the queen of context and backstory. Anyway, hi everyone! That’s me—I need a countdown timer all the time. I’m excited to be part of this because my work in restorative culture design and generative teamwork is so focused on anti-harm structures. You have to be absolutely gangster about not harming people. As we define and frame feminism, we’re saying we are forcefully against supremacist structures that create barriers for multiply marginalized people.
It feels like a great fit because we’re saying no to these harmful principles in workplaces and businesses. I’m psyched to work on this together.
Becky Mollenkamp: That was great—brief and succinct. Thank you! We’ll introduce Faith more deeply in the coming year, but for now, this is your heads-up about this massive change. Feminist Founders won’t just be me; it’s going to be Feminist Founders with Becky Mollenkamp and Faith Clarke. We’re really excited. Naturally, there will be changes with that, though we’re still figuring out what those will look like.
We do know some things. The free weekly email will continue, likely evolving but still some kind of roundup. We’ll also continue having a public podcast, though the Feminist Founders podcast will definitely change. There will still be free content, but there’s going to be more paid content going behind a paywall. Right now, we have 55 paid subscribers, and we’d love to see that community grow. To do that, we’re going to offer more behind the scenes—conversations about this partnership, our businesses, and what we’re seeing in the business world, all contextualized through a feminist lens. We also want to host monthly community events.
Faith, you’re all about belonging and community. Can you talk about the event we hosted recently and how that might inspire what we’re building for the paid community next year?
Faith Clarke: What I love about community and teamwork is that one plus one isn’t two—it’s 2,000. As solopreneurs and entrepreneurs, especially women, we often struggle with isolation. This journey can feel monastic. Building community lets us share each other’s burdens, lighten each other’s loads, and practice the principles we want to see in the world. Our “togethering” can be generative, not othering.
In my research on belonging, I found that people feel they belong when they don’t have to press hard to meet their needs or beat down barriers. When they know the community supports their needs, that’s when belonging happens. I want to build a space where we can meet each other’s social, emotional, and practical needs—whether that’s writing copy, crying together, or just listening. That’s the kind of community I want to build.
Becky Mollenkamp: We’re so excited to host more of these community events. I’m thinking we’ll plan something for late January as the first of what will become monthly events. Paid subscribers will get access to the private podcast feed with more frequent updates featuring both of us—sometimes together, sometimes apart. There will also be opportunities to participate in intimate community events with others who care deeply about the same things you do and who understand the unique challenges of being a business owner.
Given the current political and social climate, these spaces are going to be more important than ever. We’re excited to create one of them.
Now, I know what you’re wondering: What about pricing? With Faith joining and amplifying what we’re creating, the value of this work is increasing, and so are the prices. Starting in 2025, the rates will go up. Right now, a paid subscription is $6/month or $60/year, and the founding member rate is $125/year. These will increase to $10/month, $100/year, and $150/year respectively.
If you’re currently a paid subscriber, your price is locked in as long as you stay subscribed. If you’ve been considering upgrading, now’s the time to lock in those lower rates before the price increase.
Faith Clarke: The insider’s view you’ll get as a paid subscriber will include conversations where we apply big ideas to our businesses. For example, today is the International Day for Ending Violence Against Women. Violence isn’t always what we think it is—it’s also the small ways we shut each other down, make people feel less than, or undervalue them.
Becky and I will have nuanced conversations about these topics and how they apply to business. The movement has struggled from a lack of nuance, but we can’t break the master’s stronghold with the master’s tools. We need deeper understanding to truly create change. I encourage you to be part of these conversations so we can leave the world better than we found it.
Becky Mollenkamp: For all of you who want to learn and do better, come along for this journey. You’ll find practical ways to apply these ideas to your business, which is why I hope most of you are here. The next four years are going to bring major challenges, and as private business owners, we have a unique opportunity to challenge norms and make a meaningful difference.
Consider this your Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday offer from Feminist Founders. Upgrade now to lock in the current $6/month or $125/year rates before the price increase. The $125 founding member rate includes 12 mentions of your business in our newsletter, reaching 3,000+ subscribers.
Big changes are ahead, and I can’t wait for you to meet Faith. I’ll link her podcast episode so you can learn more about her. In January, we’ll share even more. For now, thank you for being here. Let’s make 2025 amazing!
