Feminist Founders newletter on Substack
Exploring the intersection of feminism and business for founders who want to use entrepreneurship as a catalyst for change.
Feminist Founders podcast amplifies the voices of equity-centered entrepreneurs who are prioritizing people and planet over profits (without sacrificing success).
This newsletter is a complement to the podcast. I’m using Substack to host this newsletter for a few reasons:
>> Community: With Substack, subscribers can chat with me AND each other about the topics I share. I love community, and this excites me beyond words. This is a wonderful complement to the podcast and the conversations I want to have with you about the episodes.
>> Support: Most of you won’t need or can't afford my 1:1 coaching program. A Substack subscription, which costs only as much as a cup of coffee, gives people a way to show gratitude for and support my work. That will go a long way toward keeping me motivated to continue to provide content and support.
>> Extras: Anyone can sign up for the Substack newsletter for free, but I can create exclusive content only for subscribers. I'm excited to pour more into those who are the most excited to receive.
This decision was a long time coming. I first started exploring Substack more than a year before actually starting.
This isn't how the experts say to do things. I'm supposed to do email marketing with all of the opt ins and funnels and sales sequences.
The idea of bucking "best practices" brought up all the fears.
Who am I to ignore what the pros say? What if I do this and no one signs up? What if this destroys my business?
Well, I say fuck that.
Feminist Founders is all about doing business your own way. It's about prioritizing people and planet over profits (without sacrificing success).
Substack feels like a way to walk my talk.
This approach allows me to honor my need to do less, while giving more to those who care the most.
This newsletter features topics that matter most to feminist founders (time, productivity, money, leadership, confidence, visibility, etc.). And I deliver fun extras to those who decide to spend $5 a month to support my work.
The free tier is perfect for folks who just want to receive monthly articles about the intersection of feminism and business.
If you want to show even more support, however, please consider a paid subscription.
For just $5 a month, you'll get the regular newsletter plus:
a private podcast feed: A busy founder doesn’t need another email to read, so I’ve created a private podcast feed for paid subscribers. I’ll read the newsletter content to you so you can learn while commuting, exercising, or relaxing. This will be coming within the first 2 months).
bonus emails: You’ll get content beyond the monthly newsletter, including Q&As with feminist founders, journaling prompts, resources that caught my attention, and a roundup of my favorite feminist TikToks.
co-working sessions: Join me for a monthly co-working session on Zoom where you can cross off to-dos while surrounded by a like-minded community.
community connection: Be part of the conversation! Only paid subscribers have commenting privileges. Engage in conversation threads to create meaningful relationships with other equity-focused founders.
archive access: Only paid subscribers can read the full archive of my past newsletters.
I’m so excited to dig into feminism and business with you!
